Orcadian group, Auskerry, made their debut at the festival in 2024, having formed the previous year to go busking in the streets of Kirkwall and play at local fundraising events.
The band consists of Lily Montgomery on fiddle/cello/vocals, Ingrid Tait on fiddle, Magnus Montgomery on guitar/vocals, Tom Montgomery on double bass/vocals and Jamie Sutherland on percussion.
Auskerry members have performed individually alongside Fara, Capercaillie, The Chair and Saltfishforty, and supported JenEric as a band. They play a mix of Orkney, Shetland, Scottish and original tunes, and love playing together and enjoy the fun of making music.
