Following her knockout return to the Orkney Folk Festival in 2014 – having performed at many, throughout her childhood and teenage years – Orcadian Bryony MacGregor (nee Muir, and using her middle name on stage) is back with her band.
Bryony presents all original songs, inspired by love, life, landscape and laughter. A gifted fiddler and vocalist, her lyrics bring a smile and lump to the throat in equal measure.
Since gaining a First Class Honours degree in music, in 2009, Bryony has taught music at a secondary school level in central Scotland. Very much a country girl, Bryony regularly entertains at agricultural events - through her involvement with Young Farmers Clubs - and spends much of her spare time teaching or performing at venues throughout Scotland.
