Ewen Rorie grew up in Finstown and started playing the fiddle at a young age. He was tutored by Jennifer Wrigley and Jean Leonard. Through learning with Jean, he started playing regularly with a group of friends who later formed the group Skeldro.
A finalist in the 2026 BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year competition, Ewen has also played with the Shetland tattoo fiddlers in Edinburgh, Oslo, Dusseldorf and Sydney.
He's accompanied at the festival by his Skeldro bandmate, Andrew Dennison, on piano.
