Orcadian Jeana Leslie is a well-regarded figure on Scotland’s traditional music scene. Described by Songlines as being 'blessed with a stunning natural voice', she is best known for her work with the group Fara — alongside fellow Orcadians Kristan Harvey and Catriona Price, and Highland pianist Rory Matheson. Jeana has also had previous collaborations with the Germany-based group Cara, and her BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning duo partnership with Siobhan Miller.
Originally from Dumfries, John Lowrie has now made his home in Orkney. He is in high demand as a pianist and producer on the Scottish folk scene, and regularly tours with artists such as Kim Carnie, Hannah Rarity and Kris Drever, as well as the band Staran.
Performing together as a duo, Jeana and John present a carefully chosen selection of songs and tunes from Scotland and further afield.
