Meallan is a rising, dynamic folk group fusing fiddle, clàrsach, accordion, guitar, keyboard, and Gaelic song into a rich, modern-traditional sound.
Formed on the road during Fèis Rois’ 2024 Ceilidh Trail, the six-piece found instant chemistry in their composition of instruments and musical influences from across the country. With a passion for both composition and collaboration, the band blends contemporary edge with deep traditional roots.
The band comprises of Eòin Cumming, Ruby Smith, Catriona Kane, Matthew Duncan, Anja Maclennan and Orkney’s very own, Kirsty Harrison.
