We’re looking for expressions of interest from bar and catering providers interested in providing facilities in the Stromness Community Centre for our 2025 festival.
Since staging our first concerts in the venue in 2019, Stromness Community Centre has become a hub for the Orkney Folk Festival in our hometown of Stromness – with several concerts upstairs, throughout the weekend, now joined by a pop-up public bar downstairs.
The opportunity to provide bar services from 2025 has arisen, alongside introducing artist and crew catering in the building (in an otherwise unused room), in order to alleviate pressure in Stromness at peak meal times during the festival – which has grown to be one of the town’s busiest weekends of the year.
We’d love to hear from anyone interested in providing such services, and are inviting expressions of interest until 29 November 2024.
