We’re pleased to announce our first t-shirt design competition ahead of the 2025 festival, open to all! We can’t wait to see what exciting designs people come up with to help celebrate the Orkney Folk Festival and what it means to you.
The Prize
- Two tickets for any event of your choice at next year’s Orkney Folk Festival (2025)
- One free T-shirt with the winning design
- Acknowledgement in our marketing.
The Brief
The design must reflect the Orkney Folk Festival. You can include any elements you like; the people, Orkney and its environment or landscape, the music, performances, history etc.
- Simple designs usually work best for T-shirts
- The design should include no more than 5 colours
- The wording ‘Orkney Folk Festival’ should be included somewhere. The year isn’t necessary but can be included
- The design must be suitable to be placed onto the chest/front of a t-shirt (no sleeve or back images).
- Designs must be original, and can be hand drawn or painted, or electronically designed.
How to Enter
Entries may be made either electronically in JPEG or PDF format at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI, via e-mail to merch@orkneyfolkfestival.com.
Or original artwork can be submitted by post to Orkney Folk Festival T-shirt Competition, Ferry Terminal, Stromness, Orkney, KW16 3BH.
All artwork must be received by 3 January 2025. Please complete and post the competition entry form with your entry, or submit electronically with your entry. Entries will not be considered unless this is completed.
If you wish your artwork to be returned, please enclose a self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage.
