You can support our volunteer-run festival by becoming an Orkney Friend. There are great benefits for you in return:
- Early ticket access. Buy tickets in advance of the general sale. You can book for one event per programme timeslot. This means you can buy tickets across the weekend but not for two events happening at the same time.
- Discounts on travel to Orkney, subject to annual sponsorship. We work with NorthLink Ferries to provide discounts between mainland Scotland and Orkney. Orkney Friends will receive a 30% travel discount for the 2026 festival.
- Exclusive events during the festival weekend. Book free tickets for the BBC Radio Orkney Live Lounge, on a first-come, first-served basis.
- 10% off festival merchandise. Save money on your Orkney Folk Festival merchandise, excluding tickets and artist merchandise.
MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
We have five levels of Orkney Friends membership so groups can buy tickets together:
- Up to two adults plus children: £60
- Up to four adults plus children: £120
- Up to six adults plus children: £180
- Up to eight adults plus children: £240
- Up to ten adults plus children: £300.
There’s no cap on the number of children’s tickets Friends can buy, as long as it’s within the available event capacity.
Memberships last for 12 months.
Become an Orkney Friend
Membership sales have ended for the 2026 festival. You can sign up to become an Orkney Friend for the 2027 event between 1 December 2026 and 28 February 2027.
